Ilaka ("we", "us") is committed to protecting the personal data of everyone who uses the Ilaka platform, in compliance with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).
1. What we collect
To provide the Platform, we collect: your name, mobile number, location, and activity preferences (the categories of events and classes you're interested in).
2. Waitlist signups
Joining the waitlist on this site, ahead of the app's launch, collects only your email address and stated role (organiser or participant). Waitlist signups are stored on Ilaka's own backend. We use this email only to contact you about Ilaka's launch and early access — never for any other purpose — and you can request its deletion at any time via Contact Us.
3. Consent
We obtain your explicit, informed consent during onboarding, before collecting any personal data. You may withdraw your consent and request deletion of your personal data at any time through a clearly accessible mechanism in the app.
4. How we use your data
Your data is used to personalise your event and class recommendations, determine locally relevant listings, and facilitate your registrations and payments.
5. Sharing with organisers
We do not share your data in identifiable form with any third party, including event organisers. Organisers only receive aggregated, anonymised demographic insights about the people registering for their listings — never your individual identity or contact details beyond what's necessary for entry verification (e.g. your registration/ticket record).
6. Payment data
Payments are processed by a licensed Payment Aggregator regulated by the Reserve Bank of India (Razorpay). Ilaka does not store your card, UPI, or bank account credentials — these are handled directly by our payment partner in accordance with RBI guidelines.
7. Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, and request deletion of your personal data, and to withdraw consent at any time. See Delete Your Account for how to request deletion, or contact us — see Contact Us.
8. Data retention
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to provide the Platform's services and to meet legal and regulatory obligations, after which it is deleted or anonymised.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated in-app.
